Our Story
Lost on Purpose Hiker Haven wasn't planned — it grew, the way a good trail does, one step at a time. We opened our doors to backpackers who needed a dry place to rest, a warm meal, and fellow travelers with stories worth sharing.
Nestled on Konahetah Drive in Hiawassee, we sit at the crossroads of some of the most beautiful trail systems in the Southeast. The Chattahoochee National Forest is our backyard. The Appalachian Trail is our front porch.

Trail Access
Hiawassee sits at the gateway to the Chattahoochee National Forest. From our front porch, you're minutes from trailheads that wind through old-growth pines, past crystal-clear creeks, and to summits where the whole valley spreads out below you.
Access points within a short drive. Thru-hikers welcome — we know the resupply runs and the water sources.
Racing the Nantahala River, hiking the Ocoee River Trail, or exploring the deep coves — all within an hour.
We keep updated trail condition reports and can point you toward the hidden waterfalls and quiet ridgelines.
